
12th arts result rajasthan board odhpur, May 20 (PTI) The Rajasthan High Court today set aside the stay on the state teachers eligibility test, which was recently introduced by the Ashok Gehlot government for B.Ed candidates to be eligible for teaching jobs.With this ruling, the court disposed off all the writ petitions challenging the legality of the entrance test.The court also ordered the government to allow candidates from Jammu and Kashmir to appear for the test, but refused to permit BCA and BBA degree holders for the same citing that these two subjects are not taught.
In primary level.A bench comprising Chief Justice Arun Kumar Mishra and Justice Kailash Chandra Joshi was hearing the arguments continuously for the past four days.On April 15, a single bench of the high court had served a notice to the state advocate general seeking him to apprise the court of the rationale behind conducting the Rajasthan Teachers Eligibility Test (RTET).Notices were then also issued to the National Council for Teachers' Education (NCTE) and the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE).The issues pertaining to eligibility of commerce graduates and minimum marks.
For the appearance in the RTET were dropped yesterday after the Rajasthan government agreed to consider these two aspects. Hearing was then proceeded on other issues."According to fresh orders of the court, there will be no minimum marks criteria for graduates from arts, commerce and science streams who completed their B.Ed before 2007. For students, who have done their B.Ed between 2007 and 2009 and secured at least 45 per cent marks as general candidates, will be eligible to appear for the RTET," Counsel of the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE), Kuldeep Mathur.
