the girl with the dragon tattooThough The Social Network's Oscar run tragically fizzled out right before votes were locked in, there are few movies more anticipated in 2011 than David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. An English language adaptation of Steig Larsson's international best seller, the story's dark tones and violence should sync up perfectly with the Se7en and Fight Club-director's style and as revealed in a photoshoot from a few months ago, Rooney Mara looks like she will fit the bill as heroine Lisbeth Salander. Fortunately it looks like we won't have to wait much longer until we get our first authentic taste of the film and some of you may have access to it right now.
Digging through the IMDb Message Boards, /Film has discovered that a redband international trailer for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo has been showing in overseas and that a green band trailer is set to debut in the states on June 2 (exactly one week from today). The user posting about the trailer also put up a description of the footage shown and says that it may help silence some cynics:
