hustle king ps3Sony has announced (via Andriasang) that it will begin a partial restoration of PlayStation Network and Qriocity in Japan starting tomorrowIn addition, the company revealed that the online service will resume in stages across five other territories: Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.In terms of what services will available, Sony confirmed that users will have access to sign-in and password change for PSN and Qriocity, friends lists, online gaming for PS3 and PSP, PlayStation Home and Torne.
As with Europe and North America, Sony is also offering a Welcome Back initiative, which allows punters to pick two games from a list of five for PS3 and PSP. The PS3 list is as follows: Hustle King, LocoRoco: Cocoreccho, Echochorme, WipEout HD and The Last Guy.PSP offerings, meanwhile, are limited to What Did I Do To Deserve This My Lord 2, Minna no Sukkiri, Patapon 2, LittleBigPlanet PSP and LocoRoco: Midnight Carnival.PSN was pulled offline in mid-April due an ‘external intrusion’ which cost Sony an estimated $171.2 USD million. The company began its restoration process for the service in western territories a few weeks back, though some services, most notably the PlayStation Store, have yet to return.
