bpsc A descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji is likely to attend the birth anniversary of the legendary figure Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on July 24 at Patna. Giving this information, the All India Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti Samiti secretary and former member of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Satyendra Singh said that a large number of people have given their consent to attend the function at Patna and observe the Shivaji Jayanti with full devotion.


According to Singh, while a descendant of Shivaji has consented to grace the function, the delegates from Maharashtra and other states are likely to participate in the function in large numbers. Social activists, intellectuals, historians and people in general would attend the function which would be observed for the first time in such a grand manner here, he said. A meeting was held recently under the chairmanship of L B Singh at Patna which was attended by the JD(U) leaders, Sunita Singh, Bimla Choudhary and many others, he said, adding the main function would be observed at the S K Memorial Hall here.
