figs


figs We often make a simple salad of fresh mozzarella and figs with torn mint or basil, a little olive oil and lemon juice. Fresh figs also go well with salty-sweet Parma ham, though served in this way, I do without dressing. This is a lovely start to a smart dinner at home. Serves 4 Ingredients
2 tbsp hazelnuts
a few edible flowers, eg borage, rocket, calendula or nasturtium
1 tsp pomegranate molasses
2 tbsp good olive oil
8 ripe figs
