The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will soon take a final decision on Sri Seva, meant for providing hassle-free darshan along with accommodation, transport and other facilities for devotees.A TTD senior official said the scheme will ensure whatever transaction takes place in any TTD department, a summary of it will be present at the TTD administrative building at the end of the day. Estimated to cost Rs 26.84 crore, it is meant for greater transparency in administration and integration of 48- odd TTD departments.
“Things like status of pilgrims going for darshan through Vaikuntam queue complex, taking RTC transport or paid taxis and availing accommodation in Tirumala will be known to officials, helping to keep pilgrim flow smooth and ensure they are not subjected to any difficulties,” said the official.Pilgrims can avail darshan, accommodation, tonsuring, prasadam and even return transport either by RTC bus or pre-paid taxi.Further, facilities like e-Hundi and other services being offered by the bank like prasadam, Arjita Seva ticket sales and gold and silver dollars sales, will be integrated into Sri Seva.Three companies were short-listed for execution of the project, which also includes creating a comprehensive computer network infrastructure for TTD, linking up all its departments.
