
apb ame's refinements and tweaks are under the hood adjustments. Developer Reloaded Productions has taken strides towards creating a more shooter-centric experience, upping all of the weapons' damage, and offering more kickback to gun recoil. There's also been a big push away from the "spray-and-pray" gameplay of the original APB; Reloaded's gunplay focuses more on short, controlled bursts. They've also revamped both the starter weapon (to be more competitive) and the starter vehicle (for better handling), and clarified mission progression to make it easier to figure out what exactly you're supposed to be doing and where you're supposed to be going.
The "contacts" system has seen some upgrades as well, now split into two camps: vehicle contacts (rewarding you with pre-set, un-customizable weapons) and weapon contacts (offering pre-set vehicles). Most of the game's core progression is by way of leveling up contacts, but you can also level up unique objective-based "roles" during gameplay. For instance, arresting criminals will level up your "Cop" role, where using rocket launchers and other explosives during combat will level up your "Demolitions" role, and so on and so forth.
