ccpProlaris assesses the form of prostate cancer to determine its nature – slow growing or a more aggressive form. The test can also estimate the risk of prostate cancer recurrence in patients who have undergone prostatectomy surgery. As per the estimates of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in the US, 223,000 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2007. The huge patient population will benefit from the information provided by the test. Currently, Myriad derives almost 89% of its total revenue from Bracanalysis. However, the company has been undertaking several steps to diversify its revenue stream.

Last month, Myriad licensed proprietary technology for the early detection of cancer from California based Chronix Biomedical. While the link between EVE and DUST is well established -- the public has known for some time that events in EVE will affect DUST and vice versa -- just how they are linked is still fairly unclear. During a presentation, developers from CCP went into some depth explaining EVE's single-shard server structure (which is actually a network of proxy-servers all tied to a supercomputer, collectively known as Tranquility) which serves every EVE player. While EVE and DUST are built on different graphical engines, EVE on CCP's own Carbon engine (which is being used on CCP's other in-the-works MMO, World of Darkness), the back-ends of both games use Carbon, and both back-ends are tied to the same server shard. DUST isn't just "linked" to Tranquility -- it runs on it. Through DUST, the PlayStation Network is directly connected to the massive server shard.
