Commercial vehicles premiums closed at $29,006, 26 per cent higher than the premium at the last bidding on May 18. Meanwhile motorcycle premiums went up by 23.7 per cent to $2,491. Among car COEs, premiums for Cat A (cars 1,600cc and below and taxis) soared the highest by 13.6 per cent to end at $53,390. Cat B (cars above 1,600cc) closed 11.9 per cent higher at $63,000. Prices for the open category, usually used for cars, also went up by 9 per cent to $62,000. Notwithstanding motorcycle premiums which fell in the last bidding, the percentage increase for each category was more than double that of the previous exercise.
