punjab school education board

punjab school education board With the impact of last year’s goof up still in the mind, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEdB) appears cautious while declaring the results of its Class XII examinations this time. The board has already changed the dates for the declaration, twice over the past couple of days. While June 4 and June 5 were the earlier dates, it has now been decided that the results will be declared on June 6,according to Vice-Chairman of the Punjab Education Board, Dr Suresh Tandon. He, however, maintains that the dates were changed due to the holidays. Error filled marking of the Class XII results in 2010, including getting the topper wrong, has forced the board to doubly check the results this year, according to highly placed sources.

Board insiders say that the date of declaration of the result was postponed twice because the compiled result was being checked by a committee formed for this purpose, to avoid any embarrassment. A senior official in the Board said that board authorities had paid a huge amount to this firm for preparing the result while board employees and the teachers are not happy over the outsourcing.
