Cronin Jr. on Tuesday morning.Still, many stayed and found ways to work around the heat. Employees in Sheriff Joseph McGinn’s office simply worked with the lights off. Grace said Delaware County juvenile court personnel used the Delaware County Council meeting room in the government center as a makeshift courtroom to hold juvenile hearings.
The rented chiller unit will most likely be in place for several months, until a replacement can be purchased and installed. Grace said the funds for both renting the unit and its overall replacement would ultimately come out of the county’s capital maintenance fund.
