sarah michelle gellarWhen asked if starring on a new show on the CW (formerly WB) was like coming home, the beautiful Sarah Michelle Gellar answered with an enthusiastic: "Oh my God, yes!" Entering Ballroom 20 at San Diego Comic-Con to a standing ovation, Buffy herself joined the rest of the cast of Ringer (Nestor Carbonell, Ioan Gruffudd, and Kristoffer Polaha) to talk about the intrigue, twists, and turns coming when the show premieres. "At the end of the day, it's a character study about twin sisters and the nature of sibling rivalry," says creator Eric Charmelo. "It's about identity, and redemption, and revenge. And just when you think you've figured something out, we're going to throw a wrench into the equation and take it on a completely different tangent. It keeps things fresh." Lightness In the Dark: Charmelo insists the show won't be as simple as good twin vs. bad twin, but there will be a lighter aspect running through Ringer. "We'll definitely have a little bit of humor on our show," creator Nicole Snyder promises. But mostly, it's all about the drama. "Things happen at a breakneck pace. We want a lot of [gasp] moments," Synder says. Check out the promo below for Ringer, premiering in Sept. on the CW.

amily. SMG wants her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr. to come on the show as a love interest...for someone other than her. And she jokingly said that her old Buffy costar, Michelle Trachtenberg was "hanging around an awful lot," possibly angling for a guest spot on Ringer. No Demons Here: Even though a lot of the cast had been involved with supernatural themed projects before Ringer, the showrunners had to break the news that there would be "no vampires or demons" on the show.
